Today we are excited to announce that Waves and MADANA are teaming up to explore the benefits of confidential computing for use in blockchain oracles and interchain communication.
What is Waves?

MADANA & Blockchain
Founded in 2017, MADANA is a German company that focuses on cutting-edge applications for confidential computation and fosters data privacy. It has co-founded blockchain-related organizations such as INATBA, and its partner network in Europe includes many blockchain companies and associations as well as from traditional industries such as OVHcloud.
Gravity
Originating from the Waves ecosystem, Gravity is a cross-chain data oracle network based on a truly blockchain-agnostic protocol for communication between blockchains and with the outside world, without having its own Gravity token, but by leveraging the native token economies of its target chains.
Not only will this allow us to bridge our technology into the Waves ecosystem, but multiple others in the future, such as Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum and Tron. This makes Waves a valuable partner for us to improve our solutions for industries like open finance (DeFi) and more.
Our Partnership
In this partnership, both Waves and MADANA will benefit from their own respective domain-specific knowledge and resources. MADANAs confidential computing solutions have the potential to benefit oracle- and interoperability systems and Waves is investigating more use-cases. Waves and MADANA share a common philosophy of providing blockchain-agnostic solutions for the benefit of intersectoral inclusion.
MADANA’s confidential computing solutions provide the cutting-edge ability to protect data and applications in use (in memory) through the impenetrable hardware-based Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) that secures user’s most valuable digital assets while it is being processed by a different node. This allows for tamper-proof processes, which even the nodes host can’t influence and this opens up many new ways to design blockchain systems that are more secure, efficient, and confidential.
MADANA strives to reshape and complement the cyber security and blockchain space as a company at the forefront of some of the most cutting-edge technology in the market. Having spent the last years in research and development, MADANA is ready to bring its Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) technology to partners like Waves. Together, we want to research how to utilize TEE’s to create Data Oracles with unmatched security, confidentiality and integrity on the Gravity Network by combining the strengths of both Waves and MADANA.
